Minerva Provides Early Stage Researchers with impactful complementary skills training

Minerva Communications recently delivered another successful complementary skills training workshop to Early Stage Researchers (ESRs), involved in the EU funded Marie Curie project, SAFERUP!

The workshop aimed to provide the ESRs with a voice and the opportunity to develop personal and professional communication skills in preparing and planning for future career opportunities.

The sessions were led and delivered by Minerva Director and Communications Strategist Rhonda Smith, and Marie Saville, Account Manager and Creative Communications and Social Media Expert, on behalf of European Science Communications Institute (ESCI).

The training sessions were designed to be as interactive and engaging as possible, giving the ESRs individual and group tasks to complete via the online interactive platform, Mural.

To prepare the ESRs for future opportunities, they were tasked to deliver their own ‘elevator pitch’ which the trainers assessed and provided their expert assessments.

In feedback following the sessions, 100% of attendees agreed that they were given sufficient opportunities to contribute and participate.  Furthermore 90% rated the information, advice and practical experience given during the session as good or above.
